“For as the Body is One Union, having many Members, so is the Church of Christ One Union: because, by one Spirit we are all Baptized into one Body, whether or not we are Jews or Gentiles, whether or not we are Servants or Masters; and we have all been made to Drink from one Spirit. Indeed, the Body is not one Member, but many Members being Molded into one Body. Therefore, if the Foot shall say, ‘Behold, I am not the Hand, and therefore I am not of the Body,’ is it therefore not a Part of the Body, in spite of whatever the Foot might have said? And if the Ears shall say, ‘Because we are not the Eyes, we are not of the Body,’ are they therefore not Members of the Body? Indeed, if the whole Body were an Eye, where would the Ears be that can Hear? And if the whole Body were nothing but Ears, where would the Nose be that can Smell, and where would the Hands be that Work? But now, as we can See, God has set each Member within the Body in Perfect Order, as it has Pleased him; and behold, it is very Good. But, if the Body were made up of only one Member, what Kind of an almost Useless Body would that be? Therefore, the Eyes have no Right to say to the Ears, ‘We have no need for you,’ and the Ears have no Right to say to the Hands, ‘We have no need of you.’ Likewise, the Feet have no Right to say to the Legs, ‘We have no need of you,’ because what Purpose would the Feet have, if they did not Support the Legs? Indeed, they have no Right to Criticize each other for the Work that they do, much less to Condemn each other for their Work; but those Members of the Body that seem to be more Feeble and less Attractive, are more Necessary; and those Members of the Body that we think are less Honorable, upon those we bestow more Honor when we think of their Services; and our Unattractive Parts have more abundant Attractiveness when we consider their Value within the Body; and our Attractive Parts have no need for extra Care and Attention; but our Unattractive Parts need more Attention, so that all are Cared for Appropriately. Nevertheless, God has Tempered the Body Together as One, having given more abundant Honor to those Parts that Lack Honor: so that there should not be any Schism or Division within the Body; but so that the Members should have the same Care, Respect, and Appreciation for one another, even though they are Separate Members. Therefore, if one Member of the Body should Suffer, all of the other Members Suffer with it; or, if one Member is Honored for its Beauty or Abilities, all of the other Members Rejoice with it: because they are of the same Body, even if that one Member seems to get all of the Attention. Now, we are the Body of Christ, and Members in Particular, if it so be that we have Accepted him as our Savior and King; and therefore, we will do well to Love and Obey him, who is the Head of the Body, and the Invisible Mind of the Body in Particular, whose Holy Spirit Teaches to us the Truth concerning all Important Subjects, and especially concerning Spiritual Subjects, if we are Listening with our Inner Ears, which must be Cleansed from the Wax of Unbelief.” — The New MAGNIFIED Version of First Corinthians 12:12—27
