Second Samuel is mostly about the Dealings of King David, who was one of the Most Mysterious Persons who ever Lived, who Loved his Enemies and also Hated and Slaughtered his Enemies, who Practiced Deceptions and Lies, who was called “a Man after God’s own Heart,” who Committed Major Sins, and then saw other People being Punished for his Sins, who became so Righteous in the End that God Promised to him the Kingdom for Eternity — Apparently beCause God could not Discover any Person in the World who would be more Qualified! After all, it would Require one Really Crafty Person to be Able to Manage such a Government, when you Consider the Fact that the World is Full of Liars, Deceivers, Hypocrites, Spiritual Adulterers, Murderers, and whomever. Therefore, it Requires one, to Know one.
