So, Vern had Mercy on her, and picked her up and put her among the Four-o'clock Flowering Bushes, before the Kittens made a Meal from her, even though it is Doubtful that they could have Tolerated the Taste of her. Please Notice the False "Eye" at the left end of the Caterpillar, which is only to Deceive the "Enemy": because the Head of this Caterpillar is actually on the right end.
